One Year Down.

I can't believe it's been a whole year since I left Strava.

On LinkedIn, one could think I spent the year collecting wins and building a cute lil consultancy. I mean...I DID. There was just a whole lotta life outside of that.

I’ve launched a business, I landed projects that made my bank account gag, gone stretches ready to cash out my 401K, chased down 5-figure invoice payments over international waters, and learned more about contracts than I EVER wanted to know.

My health limited life quite a bit. My mom had the nerve to die. Planned a funeral with my siblings. I moved. Friendships shifted and deepened. There were new people, really beautiful moments, and plenty of days that did not make it here. (Because not every instance relates to a work insight, despite my many posts that would make you assume so).

This has been one of the most dynamic years of my life, and I don’t have a LinkedIn™ transformation story to hand you at the end. I am not magically healed, filthy rich (yet), nor have I figured out how to make work and life stable.

But that would make for such a lackluster story in the end anyway.
One year down.
