The Setup

ESPN and The Undefeated came to us three days into Black History Month with a tagline: "Black history always". But there was no clear idea of how to bring it to life.

The problem with "always" is that it's abstract. So we asked: what does "always" actually look like?

It looks like right now. This second. Every blink.

I led creative from concept to launch, shaping the idea, writing scripts, collaborating with ESPN and The Undefeated to ensure the voice felt authentic to both brands, and sourcing footage spanning the full spectrum of Black culture.

Built for paid, organic, and national broadcast, the film was delivered end-to-end in two weeks flat.
